I've referenced the fact that I'm chairing a picnic preparation committee for my community. I've worked on the project since the day after Shavuot, at the end of May.

AACI will hold its annual summer picnic on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, in Park Hey (Rekhov Ye'elim off Shai Agnon), Beer Sheva, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Meet the neighbors! Hear great music! Join the fun! Inflatable Jumping Castles! Balloons! Music! Book Sale! Crafts for Kids! Soda Bottle Bowling! Bean Bag Toss! Sack Races! Raffle Sale with AMAZING Prizes! Sandwiches on the spot! Nefesh B’Nefesh and their marvelous magnets! Beer Sheva’s own Megan Turner! MasAmerica for all your US Tax needs! Negev Fudge! Face Painting! Baseball! Football! And more! It's been a treat to prepare the amusement for other people, a true testimony to the fact that I choose not to dwell on the constraints of my post-surgical life, but to maximize the potential left in me.
