Here's How to Train Your Brain to Memorize More Easily

B'SD

4 Shvat, 5779

Among the things that I've learned during my Health Information Management career are memory improvement skills.

I learned other memory boosters in rehabilitation efforts following my brain surgery.

I wrote of those memory enhancers
and how to do them in the
"How to Organize" passages
and elsewhere in

When Cancer Muddles the Mind

B'SD

WOW! Yesterday, the New York Times Wellness blog had a superb piece about cancer muddling memory power. I recommend that you read
When Cancer Muddles the Mind.

I sent a note to the author that there's an E-book which provides some solutions to the blanks where memories are supposed to be. I recommend that the author of the essay and anyone with cancer read

Gentlemen, imagine me in a low curtsey...

I'm sure many of my readers will join me in saluting those medical professionals for their compassion, intelligence and future-oriented characters.

WHAT? What was that gripe you just grumbled at your monitor and mine?

Oh, you're sure this sugar-coated coping with disabilities fantasy is a lotta hooey? Guess again, my skeptical friends. I never before let on about my own disabilities at this blog. I can trump your despair in a blink. Literally. Stay tuned and check out a future post about the prediction made by my medical team two years ago. WOW are they swallowing their words now!

And if you absolutely need to know what I overcame, read my book. It's selling worldwide for a reason ;^ )

Remember How to Remember...

B'SD

11 Kislev 5768

Today's post is short, since global attention spans are focused on transportation problems (France has a BIG one and America is trying to get to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving meals despite airport slowdowns and railways filled with alternative travelers avoiding packed highways that resemble parking lots).

Speaking of trying to pull off a magic trick like Bullwinkle T. Moose, here's one that just might work for you. It builds upon yesterday's post about Memory Boosters. I suggest that you fill the blanks of your day-planners in pencil as I do. Plans tend to change and so do the locations of meetings, social events and other real life stuff.

And if you have 10 minutes to spare, see if any information or suggestions in this Good Housekeeping magazine article prove helpful to you: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/health/emotional/memory-brain-power-games

Feel a little better, now?
