The Audience that Reached for the Life Lessons to Help their Healing Along

B'SD

4 Sivan, 5777

I'm back from a morning speaking engagement. My remarks were titled Fostering Medical Miracles. The crowd was quite interactive! People asked questions, responded to my remarks and sighed or gasped with me at specific intervals. Then they bought copies of the book.

Yes, my harrowing story turned out to be a miracle in the making. It can momentarily take your breath away to learn to the details.

It's a privilege to share insights about healing techniques that work. A blessing to be asked to address the pubic in this manner.

Find out about Israel’s First-ever Whole Health Forum HERE!

B'SD

21 Iyar, 5776

We're in the Hebrew month of Iyar. The word is an acronym for the Hebrew phrase "Ani HaShem Rofekha," I am GOD Your healer.

What better time to address health issues?

Please share your thoughts about the article I wrote regarding that Whole Health Forum which I'd blogged about previously. It was quite a ground-breaking event!

HEALTH: Israel’s First-ever Whole Health Forum

By Yocheved Golani
Ginat and Sheldon Rice presented Israel’s first-ever Whole Health Forum this past May 15 through 20th. The event for health-conscious English-speakers was held at the ecological Essene Farm in Even Sapir, outside Jerusalem. An international gathering of alternative/complementary healing practitioners, the forum included workshops about exercise, homeopathy, herbology, frequency meditation, reflexology plus other natural healing techniques. Panel discussions and other dynamic opportunities for healing let participants learn and make new friendships as they learned to improve their health. Board-certified doctors were among the presenters and participants.
Audience members at Wednesday night’s panel discussion about healing learned that doctors used to decide on the course of treatment for patients, considering it to be merciful to withhold “Your condition can be fatal” information that could upset already distraught people. One panel member mentioned that he learned the truth in a library book. Another mentioned her agony after learning that her doctors had been ordered to convince her that she had a psychological disorder rather than a fatal diagnosis, so that she’d die calmly on psychiatric medication. “Calm? I suffered pain and debilitating problems and almost died from medical neglect while being verbally abused, denied the chance to recover by accessing other forms of therapy! Attempting to force a death sentence on me wasn’t mercy, it was cruelty.” The audience also learned of the medical world’s evolving “care versus cure” perspective. It distracts patients from realizing that western medicine can’t cure some problems. It is transforming medical “care” into “maintenance” rather than “recovery,” and still resisting documented evidence of natural healing techniques.
Board-certified surgeon Michael Feinerman cured himself of Rheumatoid Arthritis with a...

A Delicious Look at a Healing Life

B'SD

12 Tevet, 5776

My kitchen smells wonderful. Friends tasted samples and asked me to take a picture of today's finished products. Have a look at my pumpkin and leek soup, quinoa, millet and carrot side dish plus jars of literally hand-made sauerkraut (shredded cabbage with umeboshi vinegar. They ferment 2 days before they're ready to eat).

When you read

and realize that my vision was restored, my health astonishingly improved by going organic vegetarian (I now dabble in macrobiotic fare), remember that picture. There's no need to go hungry or poorly nourished with wholesome food on your menu.

And it can seriously help you to heal.

A Healing Life Story in Brief

B'SD

5 Av, 5775

The Jewish month of Av is full of somber thoughts and images. Personal reflections are an integral part of the pre-Rosh Hashana season.

I just joined a health-oriented listserv, and compacted my health plus healing story into a few paragraphs. The timing was conducive to some introspection.

If you're new to this blog, or familiar with it, here are some  of the main points I shared in the above-referenced message:

My story in brief:  ... In February 2005 I awoke completely blind, and very physically weak.

To make a long story short, I underwent life-saving emergency brain surgery in August 2005. Surgeons removed a benign brain tumor called a Petroclival Tentorial Meningioma. It had crushed my optic nerves and badly damaged other nerves.

Western medical experts doubted that I would survive the ordeal let alone ever see again. I consulted with expert naturopaths. Under their guidance I became an organic vegetarian in 2006, and beat big odds. I am a rarity in the medical world, having recovered my vision - which keeps improving - after that specific diagnosis and setback. I am also physically active.

A former supervisor of medical coding who wrote feature stories about medical experts and their innovations plus other medically-related topics, and someone quite familiar with teaching calming techniques (I eventually earned counseling skills certification), I used a knowledge base about healing and centering unknown to average laymen. I remained composed despite horrific fears, physical pain and unknowns (most of the time, anyway. I definitely advocate the need to cry so that a person can go forward despite emotional turmoil).

I wrote a book about how to cope with medical challenges. Published in 2009, updated in 2011, it received cover praises from medical and mental health professionals http://booklocker.com/books/3067.html. People around the world LUV the motivational and healing information in the book plus the Global Resources section that clues you in to worldwide organizations willing to pay some or all of your specific medical bills.

Organic foods and a natural lifestyle restored my vision plus my physical strength (I had needed to learn how to speak again, how to walk, how to use my hands and arms, etc).

However, I still see double and have difficulty getting my eyes to move together. My eyes move at different speeds, as do the eyelids. One of those lids had been paralyzed. Craniosacral treatment ended the problem, restored symmetry to my face and ended post-surgical pain that could have been life-long.

The prescription for my glasses has dropped 18 times since going organic vegetarian in 2006. Ridding my body of toxins allowed damaged nerves and muscles to heal. My sight improves daily, and my health - according to medical experts - rivals that of women half my age, thank GOD.

In February 2015 I became vegan. That has provoked a most unexpected development: More and very rapid recovery of my sight. I'm at the threshold of ending double vision due to damaged optical nerves plus not needing glasses anymore. I'd like for that to happen with my 10th anniversary of a life-saving event. It would be a miracle. I believe that I can coax that miracle along with a macrobiotic diet.

I've spoken all over Israel, in the USA, on TV, radio and online media about my unusual recovery and coping mechanisms. I remain available for motivational speaking engagements as I maintain my content provider business (I edit other people's writings and prepare speeches, brochure, website, plus journalistic content for various clients).

I look forward to interacting with the rest of you either online or in person.

Vegetarianism is GOOD for Your Brain (and Your Body, too!)

B'SD

15 Elul 5768

I'm puzzled at having read an anti-vegetarianism article in a
newspaper from India of all places.

Apparently some Australian scientists have data indicating that a vegetarian diet shrinks human brains. Er, perhaps that's what happens with obese people and to anyone who drinks beer to excess (as noted in the article), but the average vegetarian in India is not brain-damaged by their diet. Neither am I. Brahman Indians won't even eat eggs and their brains seem fine over the millenia. They're healthy people who have dark hair well into their 70's, don't need to wear glasses and have no fertility problems.

Somebody's statistical conclusion is a bit off...

A person can drink coffee and eat donuts and be a vegetarian. Health depends upon what you eat, not only that you don't eat dead animals.

Recent research shows that meat-eaters have even LESS B12 than vegetarians! Why?
Because B12 is a heat-sensitive bacteria. So once they've cooked their meat and eggs, they have just as much or worse of a vitamin B12 deficiency as beer guzzlers and overweight people (and if the person is an overweight beer drinker, guess what THOSE consequences would be???).

Want to increase YOUR vitamin B12 intake? Drink Rejuvelac.
It's made of spelt or wheat berries soaked in water. You drink some of the water daily and munch the berries resting at the bottom of the jug after 3 days or so. GOSH are they yummy! And eat sauerkraut daily. Within three weeks of starting those small dietary additions, BINGO, you'll have solved your B12 problem. A simple blood test can prove it.

Food for a Healthier Body

B'SD

My dear friend Rabbi Lazer Brody has this terrific video on his
site, today. It beautifully illustrates some nutritional and GODLY wisdom. Bear in mind that GOD made foods look appealing so we'd be tempted to eat them - according to His rules ;^ )

Having read my book and by visiting this blog, you're aware that in 2005 I learned of the Petroclival Tentorial Meningioma, a benign skull-based tumor, crushing every nerve entering my head from my spine. Only one doctor in Israel was courageous, qualified and skilled enough to remove the life-threatening growth without killing me on the operating table.

But he was concerned that the remnant of a second tumor (discovered during surgery and a surprise to all concerned) that he'd intentionally left inside, and the trauma of the entire episode, could harm me with decreasingly poor vision and declining health lifelong (total removal of that unexpected 2nd tumor would have immediately ended my life) .

Some specialists feared I would go irreversibly blind within months of August 2005 surgery, despite the total removal of the first tumor and removal of most of the second tumor.

So, I endured a three-year-long series of follow-up exams by various specialists. Those doctors are baffled at my recovery, let alone my achievements, but reluctant to discuss them with me. Why?

They're aware that I became an organic RAW FOODS vegetarian who also dines on what are known as "Super Foods" (Maca, Camu Camu, Goji Berries, Spirulina, etc.), herbal teas, natural juices without added sugar, and lots of pure water.

My post-surgical Raw Foods diet and Natural Lifestyle resulted in the almost complete loss of my lifelong nearsightedness and astigmatism, and of my surgically-induced double vision. My eye doctor, a teaching professor, says that I am literally LOSING my need for glasses!

The phenomenal healing of my scars is another story. The surgeon can't detect the surgical site on MRI or with his hands! More exciting than that, I do not suffer cognitive deficits despite horrific damage from the tumors and their surgical removal. The damage healed against medical expectations (they're still looking on the MRI's for my 2nd tumor, which was probably destroyed as I healed overall). When we spoke at my most recent neurological exam this past week, my neurosurgeon said, "You've healed amazingly well. Amazing..."

Surgery on my dominant arm in January 2008 repaired damage from a fracture following an accident. The lead surgeon later informed me that the whole surgical team was SHOCKED to see the healthy condition of my other bones and muscles once they'd opened my arm! They sent for a nurse acquainted with me, to run a facial-identification check IN THE MIDDLE OF SURGERY, to make sure they weren't operating on the wrong patient! BTW, the doctor told me that my bones and muscles are in the condition of a woman HALF my age! No way am I at risk for osteoporosis!

Whenever I broach the topic of my natural healing strategies with my medical team, the chatty doctors become oddly silent. They're confused between what they learned at medical school and the evidence of my recovery.

I'm one of an increasing number of people healing against the odds thanks to HaShem's (GOD) natural pharmacy: pure food and water, adequate rest, optimism, tefila (prayer) and sunshine. The day will come when the Western medical world will acknowledge the healing power of natural strategies. The Tuv HaBorei (Compassionate Creator) provided them. And they're healing far too many people to be overlooked. You could become one of them!

Have a healthier rest of your life when you indulge in the nutritional treats for body and soul in the above video, and other body-building, body-healing foods.

OH - Be sure to thank GOD for them ;^ )
