Upbeat News in Medical Care: Cost-Cutting Can-Do Information for YOU!

B'SD

It's not a happy 2016 for many people.

Strong storms terrorism, illness and injury have left countless people in need of all kinds of help across the world.

It's that time of year when difficult news is so much harder to take than otherwise. We want a new year to shine with miracles and unending happiness. Pain of any sort is that much harder to take. But we're human. Let's do the best we can with compassion for ourselves and for each other. Build on the strengths you have and let compassionate people help you to build more.

From time to time I alert people that some organization or other has a new or renewed benefit. Read on for this update from one of my facebook pages! It's about a remarkable man who's helping people he might never meet, though his own mother died of the disease he's trying to prevent and cure.

I just increased the income limits for our brain tumor copayment assistance program a little. The numbers on the website are what we are now using. http://braintumorcopays.org
I am not going to change the brochures until we run out of the ones we have.

Yocheved Golani The Musella Foundation is only 1 of MANY charitable organizations listed in the EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Challenge print and E- book http://tinyurl.com/mycrisis-book book.

Packed with how-to information about strategies to minimize all kinds of emotional, physical and bureaucratic suffering, the book's Global Resources section holds information that lists worlwide organizations willing to help applicants with specific medical bills/needs. Here's an excerpt:

Global Resources

This is a collection of information about potential resources that might prove helpful to you and/or to someone you know.

I suggest that you read this section slowly and very carefully. Don't stop when you locate one or two pieces of relevant information. Find every potential resource listed for the situation you need to finesse. Some of the data you need might be listed under a heading that surprises you.

If you care to let me know about additional outlets for medical and/or mental health that I can include in future editions of this workbook, please contact me at giveretgolani @ gmail.com.

Some information below was gleaned from websites and press releases issued by specific organizations, and from my acquaintances in the medical world. Unless specified, this compilation is not an endorsement of listed resources, and not an exhaustive resource list. It is a small collection of data that is potentially helpful to and relevant for people facing medical situations. I thank Al Musella, DPM and president of the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research and Information, Johns Hopkins University and Hospital as well as the National Institutes of Health, and the prestigious researchers under their auspices. They provided some of the extensive information below, as well as permission to share it with you.
