Why Don't You Feel Better?

B'SD

17 Adar, 5773

Whew, I've been busy advocating for and otherwise assisting some people in very serious medical distress. I'm a bit tired from the efforts.

The toughest cases are the people who did not heed the good medical advice they received before contacting me,  plus people who've read EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Challenge but failed to learn from it.

You know the joke about "If you can't figure out how to assemble that whatever-it-is on your third or fourth try, then read the directions"?

Some folks laugh, then forget the life lesson involved. It happens to all of us.

If we're lucky, we eventually realize our error, slap our foreheads and exclaim "Hey, I knew that! OK, now I'll... (fill in the blank as necessary)."

Care to share a life lesson with the wider world? Make a comment below this blogpost. Let me know:

  • Why you don't (or didn't) feel better despite having learned what to do to minimize or to prevent your problem.
  • How are you repairing the problem now?
  • If you took action some time ago, what did you to minimize or to end the problem?
  • What advice or insight would you like to share with readers of this blog?
  • What was the funniest part of your medical healing adventure?

No need to humiliate yourself publicly: All I ask is that you share a lighthearted look at how life can be lived much more easily with a bit of good sense ;^ D

5 FAST Ways to Feel Better

B'SD

15 Sivan 5771

You're tired of feeling as if you're drowning in negative news and problems. Here are five things you can do in a minute, maybe a bit more, to improve your mood:

1. Name your goal.
Recognizing that goal is critical
to achieving it.

2. Spend one minute creating
a to-do list for meeting that goal.

3. Take techno-breaks.
Turn off everything digital,
maybe even the CD/radio.
Work on one or two items of your to-do list.
Knock 'em off!

4. Take a full minute
to breathe in fresh air,
move about, and
focus on what you've accomplished
so far.

Let life re-energize you.
Fire up your enthusiasm with pleasure breaks.

5. Toss out trash
on your workspace or in your head.
Send it out of your life.

Now that your mind and life are less cluttered you can focus on coping, healing, and accepting your medical realities. Live to the fullest you can with your disability, medical or emotional challenge. Click here to start now.

Look at this Book Review to Feel Better Fast!

B'SD

I just learned of an online review for EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Crisis. Scroll around at
http://www.voices-magazine.com/ to find an in-depth interview with me and a look at the book.

Learn to cope with the paperwork nightmare of insurance and medical documentation. Know how to prepare for hospital stays, how to stay emotionally strong and mentally sharp despite the pain, fear and uncertainty of your diagnosis. Laugh out loud as you read some of the insights in this tool for regaining or holding onto your dignity despite the drafty hospital gown, jabs and pokes from medical personnel and unappealing hospital food.

You'll even find out how to get hold of hospital gowns that actually keep you covered all the time, when you read the Global Resources section at the back of the book. When you're not saying "WOW! Look at that great idea, and that one and this one and..." that is.

There's a reason that EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Crisis is selling around the world.

EMPOWER YOURSELF to cope with a medical challenge by reading It's MY Crisis! And I'll Cry if I Need to: EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Challenge.

I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines.

The Audience LOVES This Book!

B'SD

23 Tamuz 5769

I spoke before a live audience yesterday, and WOW did my book sell there!

The event lasted much longer than planned due to interaction with the audience. Questions, solutions, lots of laughs even though we discussed disease, suffering and even death.

WHY were my listeners so upbeat despite the topics? Because they were reacting to my upbeat text and to my live comments that put things into perspective. A sense of purpose instead of random "Why ME?" misery that attacks out of nowhere soothed the crowd.
