I'm sharing something with you today, out of complete necessity. You can forward this blogpost to people who can benefit from the information below.

What Does Nefesh B'Nefesh Want From THIS Author?

B'SD

16 Tamuz

A very animated Joy Epstein of Nefesh B'Nefesh spoke with me at length today. She heads the social work arm of that innovative aliya organization (aliya is Hebrew for immigration to Israel).

WHAT did Joy ask of me, after praising

for several minutes?

THIS:

"Yocheved, please create a Resource Page for the Nefesh BNefesh website so we can inform olim (immigrants) how to access the terrific solutions for medical problems mentioned in your book. And do send us an E-mail listing what you can do for someone who becomes ill."

I'm on it!

Giveret Golani Self-Help Coaching services are widening in scope.

Not only do I help callers from abroad, I'm about to begin helping fellow citizens in the Holy Land.

I'll let you know when that
Medical Resource Site goes live.

Meanwhile, if you live in Israel, or plan to, let me know what YOU'd like to know in terms of medical resources in or outside the country. I might just be able to help your or a loved one if medically necessary.

Those live speaking engagements and airdates with me speaking to radio listeners around the world are shaking up the medical and mental health worlds, empowering patients to take back their dignity and to feel optimism once more.

"It's MY Crisis! And I'll Cry if I Need To" doesn't sell around the world for nothing. People literally feel and do better after reading it. BUY YOUR COPY TODAY: ^ )

UPDATE: Medical Considerations When Making Aliya

B'SD

Whoa - I'm a bit taken aback at the number of E-mails and calls I've suddenly received, from people asking for information about how to cope with medical conditions when they visit or live in Israel.

I recently wrote a relevant article about that very topic, at the Ezrat Nashim site. See
http://ezratnashim.com/articles and scroll down to find my suggestions about Medical Considerations for Aliya.

Hmm, I wonder if there's a need to alert Prevention Magazine...

B'SD

13 Iyar 5769

Tune in to
Arutz Sheva's Aliyah Revolution Show with Goel Jasper and David Gantshar at 6:30 PM/18:35, TODAY May 7 2009/13 Iyar 5769

(get used to using Hebrew-English
dates and times for when you make aliya ;- )

They'll be interviewing me about my Nifty Ivrit Cheat Sheet and other ways to adjust to Israeli life with a healthy sense of humor.

Ever heard of Israel's
health care system,
called Kupat Cholim
(health fund)?

It's about as much fun as any HMO can be.

In Hebrew. OYVAVOY.

Parents and people with
medical conditions
should tune in to
hear me talk about
how to get medications
and medical treatments
not included within
Israel's basket of
health benefits.

AND how to discuss all that in Ivrit.

Trust me, this show could be titled "What Your Shaliach (aliya counselor) Never Taught You about Kupat Cholim!"

And yes, you betcha I do
Self-Help Coaching
for olim (sick and healthy)

how to finesse
some situation or other!
