I'm away from my office but I set the timer for this post to go live while I'm on vacation.
I watch TED videos from time to time and this one blew me away. One simple concept seems to be leading to multiple miracles! IMAGINE the medical possibilities.
Now write down some inspirational ideas you're tuning in to. Plan to act on them. Your thoughts might turn into innovations that help you and/or other people. I've done that. So have some of the famous historical figures quoted in my book(s).
You just never know what can happen when you EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Challenge.

Make Smart Choices to Cope with Medical Situations

Here's a joke to illustrate an important point for people facing illness:
Joe bumps into his old friend Bob.
"Bob," he says. "You've put on weight!
"Wow! You even changed your name," Joe says.
Moral Lesson: Patients can err the same way, mistaking any & all medical people to be Information Man/Woman.
Your doctors, nurses and therapists are not Bob - Information Man/Woman - either.
Sure you need affordable insurance, a means for buying necessary medication, coping skills for the pain that seems to make you "crazy," and a way to manage all the mounting details in your medical life.
You want to know HOW to do all that. You politely ask, maybe insist on, or eventually demand answers from your doctors and nurses. NOW.
Doctors and nurses specialize in medical care. They owe you competence, respect & acceptance. They're not computers or librarians though you wish they were.
You need resources, not a captive audience.
Reexamine your demands. Empower yourself with smart choices and coping information.

Your hair turned gray, man."
"You seem a few inches shorter than I recall.

Your cheeks are puffy. Ya even walk differently.
Ya sound different. What's happened to you?"
"I'm not Bob," the gentleman replies.

the answers to all your questions.

Why a Los Angeles Psychotherapist is Interested in a Specific Book about Coping with Illness

Woke up today (I'm possibly half a globe and several time zones from your location) and discovered a delightful message on my LinkedIn account. A psychotherapist in the Los Angeles area is so impressed by the tone and teachings of my communications about "It's MY Crisis!" that she invited me to join her circle of acquaintances. Turns out we know some of the same people.
Imagine whom you'll meet and how delights will fill your life once you adopt that "can-do cope with medical crisis" message of my book and the Self-Help Coaching techniques shared within it. Your spirit can soar. Your mirror will smile back at you.
